Staying in Dublin.

Since the economic explosion, finding accommodation in Dublin can be very difficult and expensive, so Learn English in Dublin gives you the option of organizing accommodation before you arrive. This means you don't have to worry about the difficulty of looking for accommodation in a country where you don't know anyone or speak English fluently and you can be sure it's good quality and economical.

Working in Dublin.

Many people come to Ireland to work because of the high salaries and good working conditions. The Unemployment Rate is very low at 4.4% compared to the E.U. average of 7.8% (July 2006).The minimum wage is €8.65 per hour. Many multinational companies have their European Head Offices here like - Apple, Microsoft, Dell, Xerox (25% of Europe's computers are made here) and Pfizer (a lot of Europe's Viagra is made here)! Apart from Technology and pharmaceuticals you can also find work in - Hospitality, Finance, Tourism and many more areas.

To work in Ireland you will need a P.P.S. (Personal Public Service) Number. You will need your passport and proof of address like a bill or a letter from your landlord (if you are staying with Learn English in Dublin we can do it for you). You will be taxed 42% until you give the number to your employer then you will get your tax back. You will need to open a bank account so you can receive your salary. You will also need your P.P.S. number to open an account.
